Mr Sunak's speech unveiled a raft of amendments, including a £30 billion stimulus package to support the UK economy through coronavirus contagion, a one-year suspension of business rates for shops, cinemas, restaurants and music venues in England with a rateable value below £51,000 and a rise in the national insurance contribution (NIC) threshold from £8,632 to £9,500.
